Having lived for over thirty years with a cheap plastic towel holder that was too small for today’s larger rolls, a kitchen redo prompted me to buy this holder. It hangs inside the sink cabinet door and fits beautifully. However, even on public display it has a high quality, low key appearance that avoids the kitchy look of most paper towel holders.

The paper towel holder looks very nice in the package. Its heft suggests a sturdy, solid-metal construction. It also suggests that those extra-long screws supplied in the package will be necessary to support the weight of the towel holder. Problem is, I wanted to install it inside a cabinet door, and the screws are so long they would go right through the door and out the other side. So I’ve never taken it out of its package, and will eventually just give it away, even though it really seems well-made. I should have bought a lightweight (and flimsier, no doubt) alternative.

This paper towel holder is very nice for the price but does not really work with the larger more standard size rolls. It
really seems to be made to fit the smaller sized rolls. If you put a thicker roll on it will catch on the decorative parts
on the base and make it more difficult to pull out a sheet without catching and tearing the paper. Also, this holder is
not very heavy so pulling on the roll needs a second hand to hold it in place. So if you don’t mind using the smaller
rolls, this is a good buy.

But doesn’t work well without help, the spring (too weak) and short dowel don’t keep a roll in place. I added a short 3/4″ piece of PVC and placed it over the dowel, without it, it’s worthless as the roll will fall off when pulled.

I bought these glasses because I wanted something attractive for every day that wouldn’t tip easily when one of my very large dogs gives a hard bump to a table or gives the glass on the coffee table a bit of a tail swish. They serve that purpose admirably because their short, wide shape makes them very stable.
As well as being artistically appealing these glasses are amazingly durable. I’ve had a set of juice glasses like them since the early 80’s and have only lost one to breakage despite quite careless handling. The glass broke from thermal shock mentioned in the description. Dear spouse put ice in the glass right out of a very hot dishwasher, a very unwise thing to do with any glass, even pyrex. Also, I’ve never bothered to hand wash these glasses and they hold up to being put in the dishwasher like champs.
I would have appreciated seeing the approximate glass size in the description which is approximately 3 3/8 W” x 5/14″ H which varies a bit from glass to glass because they are handmade. The size is to large for a child to grasp comfortably.
The vendor shipped very quickly and provided excellent packing.

This is a truly lovely piece of glassware. I have little hands, so it’s a tad big for my tiny digits. It’s great for making cold drinks for a manly man with big hands!! I love the cobalt color … as it accents so many other colors.
